HAK Mürzzuschlag has a long tradition regarding sustainability and environmental protection. In this context, the students have also already participated in a CSR project in 2018.
“Due to the great success, it was clear to us that we would also be involved in the follow-up project CSR in class+,” explains Erich Leitenbauer, director of the school.
The current project involved the students using a digital CSR platform to expand their knowledge on the subject. In addition to the online course, there was of course also a competition again. Case studies were developed with the help of regional companies Sparkasse Mürzzuschlag, Stadtwerke Mürzzuschlag and Manufaktur Matauschek (MAMA), as well as FH Joanneum Kapfenberg. These were then solved by the students in groups during a CSR day at HAK Mürzzuschlag.
The overall victory was achieved by the group with the participants Gloria Hartl, Sophie Janda, Miriam Kain, Lena Pusterhofer and Isabel Schöffmann. They will represent the school at the international competition.
In addition to the competencies in CSR, the students were also able to improve their skills in the areas of teamwork and digitalization. In addition, participation in an international competition is, of course, a special challenge.
In summary, it can be said that this project was a great experience for all participants and that an important topic could be dealt with in the context of education at HAK Mürzzuschlag.
